HOW TO LIVE A CLIMATE FRIENDLY LIFESTYLE

BehaviourWise has teamed up with Permanent TSB to provide a short guide to living a climate-friendly lifestyle. We share examples of how to create your own climate friendly footprint at home, when shopping, while travelling. We know that habits are hard to break so we offer tips from behavioural science to make it easier.
The rising cost of living is the top area of concern for Irish people at the moment, and the good news is that most climate-friendly behaviours can alleviate the pressure because they save us money. Minimising food waste, using public transport, cycling or walking instead of driving, turning down the dial on the thermostat or washing machine, turning off devices when we’re not using them: these are just some of the ways we can save money and help the climate at the same time.
There are lots of little things we can do in our day-to-day lives that will make a real difference. Living a climate friendly lifestyle is rewarding in lots of ways. We save money, waste less, are healthier, and benefit from the ‘feel good factor’ of knowing that we are doing the right thing for the future of our planet. What’s not to like?
